TECNO unveils EllaClaw AI to automate daily smartphone tasks

EllaClaw is built around three key functions namely One Tap Phone Caretaker, Seamless Cross App Intelligence and Proactive Digital Companion. Together, these capabilities allow the AI to optimise device performance, interact with supported applications and anticipate users' daily needs.

TECNO has unveiled EllaClaw, a new artificial intelligence agent designed to transform the way users interact with their smartphones by moving beyond traditional AI conversations to intelligent task execution and everyday digital assistance.

Currently available in a closed beta on the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, EllaClaw embodies the company’s vision of Practical AI by helping users complete tasks more efficiently while simplifying daily smartphone management.

Integrated directly into TECNO’s AI Assistant Ella, the feature requires no separate installation after the latest software update. Once activated, users can personalise the assistant and immediately access a range of intelligent capabilities designed to improve productivity and convenience.

EllaClaw is built around three key functions namely One Tap Phone Caretaker, Seamless Cross App Intelligence and Proactive Digital Companion. Together, these capabilities allow the AI to optimise device performance, interact with supported applications and anticipate users’ daily needs.

One of its standout features is intelligent phone optimisation. Rather than manually adjusting settings, users simply describe the problem. If a device becomes warm or sluggish, EllaClaw automatically identifies the appropriate tools to improve performance, manage background applications and optimise system resources.

The AI assistant also introduces Smart Data Guardian, which monitors mobile data usage, learns consumption patterns and alerts users whenever unusual activity is detected, helping them better manage connectivity expenses.

EllaClaw also extends its intelligence across compatible third party applications.

Users can simply request services such as booking transport, ordering food or managing travel plans, while the AI navigates supported applications on their behalf after receiving user permission.

Beyond task automation, the assistant functions as a proactive digital companion by learning routines and preferences over time. It can organise incoming SMS messages, identify important reminders, appointments, reservations and bills, then present them in an easy to read format.

TECNO has also prioritised privacy and transparency. Every action involving personal information or third party applications requires explicit user authorisation, while users remain free to monitor, pause or stop any ongoing task. Sensitive actions such as sending messages or making calls always require additional confirmation.

Although still in beta, EllaClaw offers a glimpse into the future of smartphone technology where artificial intelligence not only responds to requests but actively helps users manage everyday life more efficiently, safely and intelligently.
